Intern with us
Thank you for your interest in pursuing an internship with Rape Counselors of East Alabama and your commitment to those we serve. We take new interns for spring, summer, and fall semesters, and we take students who are pursuing bachelor's and master's degrees. We prefer to have interns who are studying subjects such as Human Development and Family Sciences, Social Work, Counseling, Nonprofit Studies, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, etc. Interning with RCEA will provide you with experience in an office setting as well as in the field. You will have the opportunity to interact with survivors of sexual assault in medical and legal settings, and you will be trained to answer crisis calls on our 24-Hour Hotline. There will be several opportunities to participate in prevention education presentations at local schools and organizations and be apart of community events (these vary depending on which semester you choose to intern). We can tailor your experience to fit what you want to get out of your internship.

If you are an empathetic, self-motivated, hard-working student with a passion for serving others, we would love to have you as a part of our team. Please fill out an application below and email it to rceainc@yahoo.com or give us a call and let us know that you are interested in interning. In your email, please specify that you are interested in interning, not volunteering, as we use the same application for both. Also, please include the amount of hours you are required to get by the end of you semester, the dates you will start and end, and any other requirements we can help you meet.

Thank you for being interested in our mission and vision. We look forward to meeting you!
